In this DIY car repair video I am talking about the type and weight of the engine oil you put in a 2015 Dodge Ram Eco diesel engine. When doing an engine oil change you need to use the specific type Rotella T6 5W-40 synthetic engine oil. Ram Issued a TSB Technical Service Bulletin on August 24, 2016. It was RAM TSB #18-087-16 REV. A. This TSB stated that all the oil in the 2016 models needed to be changed and moving forward all the Eco Diesel RAM Trucks would need to use the newly specified Rotella 5W-40 engine oil. I have added a link here to buy this at Amazon, which I highly recommend. I drove all around town and could not find any in any of the auto parts stores or other store that might carry engine oil. Here are the links to the Oil and filter and the TSB. You need to get 3 gallons of oil. The Truck takes 10.5 quarts, which is 2.55 gallons.
